Mission Statement

We shall incentivise the production of software to the highest quality standards through advancing the state-of-the-art of tools and methods for achieving that goal.

That is our mission, and we're sticking to it.  Put in other words, we intend to develop tool and methods make it so easy to produce high-integrity software, that no company would see any financial advantage in doing otherwise.  Of course, new ideas can take many years to penetrate the industry.  As we carry our mission forward, it is our clients and customers who will benefit first.

So, what are the sorts of advances we are speaking of?

  • SafeCode is involved in the development of a suite of development tools that leverages existing products and technologies in order to create multiple tiers of automation from coding through verification.  Granted, this is a longer term goal.
  • SafeCode has experience with customizing scripts, macros and profiles for editors, version-control, analysis tools, modeling tools, etc. to provide tighter integration, improved usability, and increased developer efficiency.  This can work to your advantage TODAY!
  • SafeCode can train your people in the use of tools and advanced development techniques to ensure better quality software.
  • SafeCode can assess your current processes and software designs for their strengths, as well as weaknesses.
  • SafeCode is poised to take advantage of every opportunity, even if it means involving a competitor.  In fact, while we might compete with other firms for market; we believe that any firm that is promoting tools or techniques that enhance the overall quality of software without inhibiting other techniques is, in fact, an ally and a potential partner.  We hope that they feel the same way.

Worth Remembering

"Highly reliable software is not necessarily safe.  Increasing software reliability will have only minimal impact on safety." -- Nancy Levenson, "Engineering a Safer World: Systems Thinking Applied to Safety", by Nancy Levenson (Draft - 2010).
